연구목적 

큰가시고기는 마지막 빙하시대부터 있었던 민물고기의 일종이다.
최근 환경에 적응하여 생리 특성에 여러 변화를 하여 큰가시고기종의 적응진화를 연구 할 수 있는 좋은 모델이다.
